With no space to make it happen the boat project is still on ice. In the meantime I've found a new project to keep me busy and practice... a wheelbarrow.! The old one has given up the ghost and building one seemed more interesting than just forking out at the garden centre.
Surfing the web gave very little in terms of useful plans so stage one was to draw up something...
Here the result. Weight well forward over the wheel, with the option to remove the sides for a flatbed.
(building is well progressed... just catching up here on the documentation )
